2/22 - Lean Launch 101
This is a preparation session for the upcoming Wisconsin Big Ideas Tounreyment (WBIT) that will prepare students for the event. We will primarily work on value proposition, product market fit, and connecting with customers while adding in a lesson on storytelling and pitching.

3/11 - UWM WBIT
1:00 - 2:30 PM @ The LEC
UWM Qualifying WBIT (Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament ) Each contestant (10 in total) will talk about their business model canvas for 2 minutes to a panel of judges where they will be asked questions to be eligible for cash prizes. The 1st place winner will move onto the state level. The deadline to submit is 2/28, the signup is on the LEC website.

Kim Hall is the founder of Signature Sweets, a prestigious bakery that is in Shorewood. Kim will be coming in to share her entrepreneurial story and tell us how she's been able to build connections within the television networking industry and become so successful in the media. 4/12 - How are you Hardwired?
Lueder Financial Group, a part of Northwestern Mutual will come in and offer each meeting participant the opportunity to complete the Culture Index Assessment. The cultural Index is a six-minute assessment designed to learn about how you are hardwired and how you can use that knowledge in real-life situations.

Friday, 4/29 - Entrepreneur of the Year

In this event, we highlight the best entrepreneurs that UWM has to offer. Students will compete for the title of Entrepreneur of the Year by highlighting their entrepreneurial efforts and success. Prizes will be given away to the top three entrepreneurs totaling $1000.
Requirements for the EOTY:

4/5 - Master Your Fear of Public Speaking: Learn the Art of Prepared and Impromptu Speeches

4/19 - Speed Networking
Think of speed dating, but these relationships that you make will last long into the future! For this event, each student will be able to meet new faces on campus and add a few contacts to their network. As the old saying goes, your network is your net worth, and that saying still holds true to this day. Each round will be 3 minutes and you should expect to meet other entrepreneurs and business students while having a causal conversation between yourselves. Refreshments will be provided!

The EOTY winner will no longer speak on this date - that will be announced on 4/29 after the event.
